Charming Bike Routes of Paris

Body:

Paris is the city of lights, the city of love and the city of bikes. That’s right; you’ll find over fifteen hundred bike stations across the city that offer citizens and visitors alike over 20,000 bikes to use to get around. All it takes is a payment doable by credit, and you get you take your bike. Of course, don’t think about ditching it just anyway, because it has a GPS system and they can track you down! The system is a great way to get from Paris cheap hotels to anywhere you want to visit.

There are a few routes that rise above the others either for their beautiful vistas, historical significance or simple pleasantness. Paris is already uber bike-friendly. You’ll find dedicated bike lanes throughout the city, and the placement of the public bike stations is perfect to base your itinerary around. You can leave your hotel in Paris, find a bike station, ride to the next, leave it, and do it all over again to some other destination. The Paris metro is efficient and expansive, but don’t let the easiness of the train prevent you from partaking in the delights of the bikes.

The first ride you should consider will take you through the lovely Jardin de Luxembourg. This pleasant ride will have you shooting passed the trees and benches filled with necking couples or old Parisians feeding the pigeons. You’ll skirt around the model sailboat lake, perhaps stopping at a kiosk for refreshment before continuing onward. The hotels Paris has to offer will surely be able to turn you in the right direction to find your way to the park.

Another entertaining ride will bring you streaming down the borde of the Seine River. Much of the Seine is built up with stone, and the stone riverfront connects for miles. Just make sure not to hit anyone into the water as you’re riding past! You’ll get to see wonderful sights like the Eiffel Tower, the Notre Dame, and the wide Conciergerie. Once you figure out where to park your ride, you might find a bench along the river to wait for the sun to fall. Whether it’s high price lodging or low price hotels Paris’ bike system will treat you well.

Beyond the park and the Seine, you should want to extend your biking to take in one of the widest parts of the city. From the Eiffel Tower’s Champs de Mars, you make your way circling around to Les Invalides. From there, you can cross the bridge and continue onward for a spell to come to the Place L’Etoile and the obelisk. Circling around and then make your decision to bike down the Champs-Elysees, or take a right a ride through the Tuilleries gardens to the glass pyramids of the Louvre.

Whichever way you decide to go, there is always tomorrow, and as long as you keep your itinerary open, the bike trip is a great way to get ideas for new adventures and new plans.
