Most of us who love the City of Light, and like to go often, generally pick the cheap hotels in Paris for our stay. Even though flights are a bargain, the cheap Paris hotels mean we have more to spend on the fabulous attractions, or in the brilliant markets and shops, plus it means, we aren’t so inclined to sink in the bosom of the luxury facilities of an upmarket hotel and miss out on the city we came to see.

The Hotel Ritz Paris is certainly going to be out of your reach if you’re looking for a cheap hotel in Paris, but if you can afford to really splash out, then this world-famous hotel is highly recommended. Situated in the 1st arrondissement, this grand palatial hotel is in close proximity to the Louvre Museum and Tuileries Gardens, which take up a large proportion of the arrondissement, partly explaining why it is one of the least-populated areas of the city.

Last week I was speaking to a wealthy businessman in Marrakech and I told him that even though I was lucky enough to see most of Europe, this was my first time in Africa. He regarded me with a warm smile but this could not hide his shock. He told me I'm thinking geographically and found that rather amusing. And after 7 days in thier beautiful city I discovered why.

French cuisine is globally acclaimed as one of the best gastronomic experiences available. The rumors are true, and from cheap hotels in Paris to the most expensive of places, your tongue will savor the proof. However, the Parisian experience is more than just French staples in food, but experience in the event of dining in general. Brunch is an excellent way to relax in the big city and enjoy what so many Parisians enjoy; a meal just before noon.
